The context

This social experiment aims to find the uniqueness within each human being and, at the same time, discover the core values, worries or preferences that we all share.

The experiment

During 2016 and 2017, I interviewed 20 people of different backgrounds and ages from my hometown, Garriguella. I asked eachof them the exact same 10 questions, starting out with How do you like your coffee?

Then, I proceeded to ask timeless questions about life, such as What’s your biggest regret? or What makes you proud?
I recorded every interview and, later on, managed the whole process, from unpacking each interview to coordinating the different parties involved in the edition (transcriber, designer), printing, and publication of the book.

Eventually, I found out that while we all seem to be very different and particular about how we like our coffee (hot, iced, in the morning, in the afternoon, with or without milk or sugar, etc.), there’s something that ties us all together when it comes to the bigger matters in life.
